James D’Arcy: Participation Coordinator
James is newly appointed to The Elmwood Club with his role as Participation Coordinator. He is currently studying for a bachelor's degree in Sports Coaching at the University of Canterbury, majoring in Sport Management.
Outside of studying & work, in the summer you can catch James down at Elmwood Park as he is a current playing member at OBC cricket club. In the winter you might find him kicking a football around. Over the years he has competed in various sports; Rugby, League, Tennis, Football and Cricket, including being a Willows CC Matfen Scholar in 2015.
Having a great interest in sport is what drives him to be successful in this role with The Elmwood Club. He looks forward to being able to offer a diverse range of sports and bring in new initiatives that will influence the next generation of sportsmen & women in the Christchurch area.
Erin Hyde: Sports and Community Capability Coordinator
Erin has been employed for The Elmwood Club since 2014. Her role as Sports and Community Capability Coordinator is split between administrative work for Elmwood Park Bowling Club and promotion of facilities to increase club and community participation for The Elmwood Club. Erin also supports the nine affiliated sport clubs of Elmwood with funding, communications and participation.
With a bachelor of Physical Activity, Health and Promotion, Erin has a passion for community sport and events and is always looking for unique ways to increase sporting pathways within affiliated clubs and the wider community. With new facilities on the horizon, Erin is looking forward to the new challenges and responsibilities throughout the process. Erin is excited about the evolution her role will take as Elmwood grows.
